Feng Shui for the Expansive Soul

Feng Shui is the art and practice of changing your environment to balance and redirect the flow of energy for greater harmony in all areas of your life. You can begin to use some very simple elements of feng shui to allow for the clearing, cleansing, purifying and detoxification your soul is likely craving! I’d like to offer some practical tips for creating harmony in your personal space:

1. Do a “energy charge test” in your home and work space. Here’s how it works:

Walk around every room in your home or work environment and ask the following questions about the items in each space to determine if there is an energetic charge that you receive from them. Do the items cause you to expand or contract? Apply this test to furniture, wall hangings, pictures, and everything that you either look at or walk past regularly. Ask the following questions:

Does this energize me? Does this bring me happiness?
Is this item useful and empowering for me?
Does this item expand the peace and tranquility in the space?
Does it inspire me and enhance my creativity ?
If the answer is “no,” then it’s time to get rid of it!

2. Create your own sacred space; your very own personal sanctuary:

Allow yourself the freedom and soulfully inspired luxury of creating a space in your home or office that nurtures your soul. Place a scented candle, sacred figurines, inspiring images, or anything that uplifts you within this personal space. Include elements in this space that remind you of your infiniteness, your “wholeness” and your limitless creative potential. See each element as a blessing and a reminder of your authentic power as a soul.

This space can be in your bathroom, a corner of your bedroom, your garden, or even your closet! The idea is that this will be YOUR personal space and your personal sanctuary where you can honor yourself and amplify the light you are intended to BE and share with the world. This space will re-energize you! It will re-balance you. It will bring you back into harmony with the INFINITE you! It will light the spark of creativity from within and ignite the vibrancy and radiance of your eternal spirit. It will be the space where you can return to peace and emerge back into the world with that inner peace fully anchored in your heart.

3. De-clutter Your Surroundings!

This is one of the most effective and empowering tools for transformation that I have learned of in my journey of expansion. Clutter is simply stuck energy that impedes the flow of love, joy, success and harmony in our lives. In your physical environment, it can take the form of excess material items, old stashed away memories, (that prevent you from moving forward in the present) or anything that blocks the flow, balance and harmony in the space you live or work in.

Here is a practical tip to begin the process of de-cluttering your surroundings:

Commit to clutter-clearing at least one room in your home (or office.) It could even be your car. Have two separate piles. Create one “give away” pile and one “trash” pile. Spend the whole day on this if you have to. Go through the drawers, the closets, the shelves, etc and clear, clear, clear! As you clear away all that no longer serves you, affirm to yourself the following statement:

“As I clear away all that no longer serves me, I create the necessary space for all that I desire and deserve to flow into my life!”

You will be amazing at how LIGHT, liberated and clear you feel after you’ve dedicated the time to do this for yourself. Consider this exercise a cleansing gift that you reward your soul with! Know that this gift will pave the way for the infinite riches (love, money, radiant health, relationships etc) that you deserve!

There are many layers of this clearing process. I hope that this short article will inspire you to activate your own expansion and fuel you to transform your personal space into something that allows your SOUL to soar in brand new ways!
